Palau Pisang Island

pisang_is The island, which is about 12 kilometres from the town of Pontian Kechil and 5 kilometres from Benut town, is the site of the Pulau Pisang Light, a lighthouse guiding ships into the western entrance of the busy Singapore Strait.

The lighthouse is currently operated by Singapore, and whilst the republic has publicly announced recognition that the island is Malaysian, the recent International Court of Justice decision in favour of Singapore over Pedra Branca (Pulau Batu Puteh) dispute have given rise to fears that Singapore may one day lay claim to Pulau Pisang as well.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park

Tunku-Abdul-Rahman-Marine-P The marine park is under the administration of the Sabah Parks authority which has the mandate to oversee designated protected areas and ensure their maintenance and upkeep as reserves while catering to tourists wanting to enjoy the natural beauty that Sabah has to offer.

The largest amongst the island group is Pulau Gaya on which there is a small settlement of locals and illegal's (primarily from the Philippines) who have built wooden housing over the coastal edges while the rest is pristine jungle.

Tioman Island

tioman_is Tioman is the biggest and most impressive island at the east coast. There is a brisk jungle covers a ridge on the west section of the island, which ends at the idyllic location of a beautiful palm fringed beach. Tioman offers a wide range of activities for visitors: snorkeling in crystal clear water, discover the beautiful underwater world when you go diving, or just laze on the beach while you work on that tan. Also, there is a jungle on the island that is just begging to be explored. The dense forest is a habitat for many kinds of flora and fauna.

Tenggol Island

tenggol_is Set in the tropical Malaysian island paradise of Pulau Tenggol, this beautiful resort is only 60 minutes from the coastal quiet fishing town of Kuala Dungun, Terengganu. The island, small and compact (less than 3 kilometres long and 2 kilometres wide) is one of the most beautiful and serene islands flanking the famous East Coast of Malaysia, known for its pristine waters warmed by the South China Sea.

Sipadan Island

Redang Islands

Perhentian Islands

Perhentian-Islands The two Perhentian Islands are rated as some of the most beautiful islands in the world, a virtual paradise for snorkelling and diving in crystal-clear water or just for lazing on one of the white sandy beaches waiting for the coconuts to drop.

Pulau Perhentian is located in the South China Sea 25 km from the coast of Kuala Besut. It consists of two islands, Pulau Perhentian Besar and Pulau Perhentian Kecil. Both islands are surrounded by beautiful palm-fringed sandy beaches andcrystal-clear turquoise-blue sea.

Penang Island

The island is the fourth largest in the country with an area of 295 km2. It is also the most populated island in the country with an estimated population of 678,000. The island is connected with mainland Peninsular Malaysia by the Penang Bridge. The bridge begins at Gelugor on the island and ends in Perai on the mainland.

Pangkor Islands

Among them, two islands predominate in terms of accessibility, infrastructure and development - the largest island, Pangkor and her sister Pangkor Laut. Those who are not familiar with the geographical locations generally confuse the two.

Langkawi Islands

langkawi Langkawi, is an archipelago of 99 islands (an extra 5 temporary islands are revealed at low tide) in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. On July 15, 2008, Sultan Abdul Halim of Kedah had consented to the change of name to Langkawi Permata Kedah in conjunction with his Golden Jubilee Celebration.
